Daphne Minor
Mosquera Diving Point
Island Floreana
Let's put on your swim suit and discover the underwater treasures! Today you will enjoy a diving trip, departing early morning, around 7 am, for a 1.5 to 2h boat ride from Puerto Ayora, depending on the sea conditions and diving site. We begin the day with a quick meeting at the office. You will be able to embark and discover one of the unique diving sites mentioned below, and among the best spots for being immersed into the wild and spectacular fauna of the Galapagos!
Floreana: Both Punta Cormorant & Islote Enderby offer the most interesting topography with rocky outcrops, small caves and a sandy bottom, which is an excellent hiding place for many marine animals.
Santa Fe: La Cueva “The cave” is at approx 14 meters and is normally full of colorful fish and a few friendly sea lions. The platform a bit further around the coast offers a little more current and chances to see rays, turtles and hammerhead sharks.
North Seymour canal: gradual steps off the island shoreline declining 8 meters to a beautiful rock reef, before reaching the sandy bottom at 16-18m and provide opportunity to swim with white and black tip reef sharks.
North Seymour point: slightly rough entry, but once in the water it is a leisurely drift dive along the rocky wall. The small caves with White tipped reef sharks, schools of hammerhead sharks and Mobiles (Devil rays), and an excellent place to search for the well camouflaged octopus and the beautiful blue Nudibranchs.
Mosquera - north & south: sand and rock islet in the channel between North Seymour and Baltra islands, and a popular gathering place for sea lions.
Gordon Rocks: an extinct volcanic crater with a sandy bottom at 32m in the middle, and a wall drop off around the outside of around 65m. The strong currents allow seeing schools of up to 50-100 hammerhead sharks! White and black tip reef sharks, green sea turtles, sea lions, sting rays, Eagle rays, large schools of barracuda and snapper also frequent the area, and the occasional majestic manta ray or Mola Mola.
Beagle rocks: named after the ship that carried Charles Darwin to Galapagos, consists of 3 rocks, the remains of a tuff cone - The dive begins on a 12 meter platform before reaching a drop-off wall that descends to more than 60 meters. Hammerheads and Galapagos sharks can often be spotted, and that’s the best site to find the Pacific Seahorse!
Daphne Minor: very diverse. It is a wall dive with normally little current, and the famous spot for Manta rays!
Contact one of our agents to get more details about the adventure waiting for you! Also, when booking, please tell us how many dives you already did and when your last dive was.

Lunch will be served after the second dive and before going back to Puerto Ayora between 3 and 5pm. The tour includes all diving equipment, experienced bilingual guides (English and Spanish), snacks, lunch and drinking water. Pictures and video will be taken by the guide.
