Advantages of travelling on a motor sailer

A motor sailboat in Galapagos offers several advantages to travelers. Firstly, a motor sailboat is faster than a traditional sailboat, allowing you to visit more destinations in less time. In addition, a motor sailboat can offer more stability and comfort, as you are not exposed to the rough seas and winds that can sometimes occur in the Galapagos. Another advantage is the ability to sail to areas that are difficult to reach with a traditional sailboat. Motor sailers also have modern amenities such as air conditioning, private bathrooms and comfortable cabins, making your Galapagos experience more enjoyable and comfortable. Finally, a motor sailboat has a small crew, which means you get more personal attention and a more intimate experience. All of these factors combine to make a motor sailboat in the Galapagos a great choice for anyone looking for a unique and exciting adventure.

What to expect from a motor sailboat?

A motor sailboat in the Galapagos Islands can offer you a unique and intimate way to explore this incredible region. The Galapagos Islands are renowned for their abundant wildlife, and a powerboat provides the perfect platform to get up close and personal with the animals and scenery. A motor sailboat allows you to explore the many coves, bays and inlets of the islands that are inaccessible to larger vessels. You can snorkel, kayak and swim in the turquoise waters and hike the volcanic islands to see giant tortoises, iguanas and other exotic wildlife.

You will be able to experience the natural beauty of the islands with a small group of fellow travelers, and the experienced crew will provide you with a comfortable and safe experience. In the evenings, you can relax on deck and watch the stars or dine on delicious local cuisine. A motor sailboat in the Galapagos is an unforgettable way to experience this unique and pristine environment.

Solaris Galapagos Cruise

Premium

October 2025

Our guide, Liam, definitely made the trip even more awesome than it already was with the amazing wildlife and nature that we got to experience each day. His enthusiasm for teaching and his love of the islands was infectious and made me want to participate and learn more. Our cruise ship, the Solaris, was stunning, and our crew was top notch. The food was excellent and way better than my expectations. And the people we got to cruise with were all wonderful. Overall it was just a magical experience with new adventures each day. I loved every minute of it.

Golondrina Galapagos Cruise

Galapagos Islands are paradise on Earth. Wonderful crew and guide led us through the wonderful world of nature. All the activities and places were just perfect in every way. When planning the trip we thought it will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience but we are now planning how and how soon to come back. Thank you Galapatours for such a great adventure!

Samba Galapagos Cruise

Classic

The only way to describe my trip is "trip of a lifetime". I was able to snorkel and interact with Seals, Sea lions, Penguins, Sea turtles, Marine iguanas and many other animals. My trip on the Samba was a dream come true. Since the boat is small enough, we were able to turn around a chase after dolphins and blue whales. Larger boats have a hard time doing that. I couldn't have asked for a better crew to guide me through the Galapagos Islands. Our nature guide, Morris, was extremely knowledgeable with the history and the wildlife of the area. He grew up in the Galapagos before leaving for college. The food and service on the boat was spectacular. I also want to call out the travel agency for their hard work in making this trip go so smoothly.

Nemo II Galapagos Cruise

Classic

Cristina Pineda was incredibly helpful. Communication was excellent, and I was even able to extend my ticket at the last minute so I could stay in the Galapagos. The 5-day cruise on the Nemo II was fantastic. Well organized, with a great guide and crew, and a fantastic chef! Choose the Nemo II if you prefer smaller groups and want to enjoy sunsets and sunrises while cruising. Snorkel with penguins, marine iguanas, turtles, sharks, sea lions, and dozens of fish.

Grand Majestic Galapagos Cruise

Luxury

Our Highlights: Swimming with penguins, sea lions, and sea turtles—an unforgettable experience! Our guide, Carlos, was outstanding: knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate about the islands. The visits to the tortoise breeding centers were interesting, though they felt a bit repetitive.
