Arrival at Quito Airport: SICGAL Luggage Check and TCC Card for your flight to Galápagos
TCC Card at Quito Airport

The Galápagos Transit Control Card (TCT) is a required document for all visitors entering and leaving the Galápagos Islands. This card is used by authorities to manage sustainable tourism and monitor visitor flow in order to protect the delicate ecosystems of the islands.

Important Update (June 2025): The TCT is no longer issued at the airport. All travelers must now complete the TCT process online before their trip. This new procedure aims to reduce wait times and simplify the entry process.

How to Obtain Your TCT Online:

  • Go to the official TCT platform here.
  • Accept the data protection policy.
  • Watch the mandatory video on entry rules for the Galápagos.
  • Fill in your personal information and verify your email.
  • Provide your travel and accommodation details.
  • Accept the liability declaration and pay the $20 USD fee online using a credit or debit card.
  • After payment, click "Reload Page" to download your TCT.
  • A copy will also be sent to your email. Please print or save a digital copy to bring with you.

Upon arrival at the airport in Quito or Guayaquil, you must present your TCT at the INGALA booth for validation. Please note that you will still need to wait in line at the booth, but the process will be quicker since the card has already been issued.

If you have already paid for this card through your cruise company, a representative from the ship will meet you at the airport and give you the Transit Control Card.

Please keep your TCT safe during your trip, as you will need to present it when entering and leaving the Galápagos Islands.
