This comfort 3-day extension of our cruise will take you from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on a full-day diving trip to one of the most amazing sites of the Galápagos Islands and certainly around the world : Kicker Rock! Swim amongst sea turtles, sea lions and an endless array of colorful fish!
Day 1 • Welcome to Puerto Baquerizo!
Puerto Baquerizo Moreno
You will be transferred to your hotel in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, where you will meet our representative, who will assist you with all queries regarding your diving trip the next day. In the late afternoon, you will stop by the dive shop for an introduction briefing and equipment trial. The rest of the day is free at your own disposal to enjoy the Mann beach or visit the Frigate Bird Hill.

Day 2 • A spectacular site above water and only gets better as you dive in
Kicker Rock
Located one-hour boat ride from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, Kicker Rock or Leon Dormido in spanish is a unique and spectacular site. This peculiar disposition of the island has made it one of the best diving spots in the Galápagos Islands and in the world. Around Kicker's Rock inhabit all kinds of corals and marine species such as turtles, hammerhead sharks, blue sharks, sea lions, and much more! Part of the National Park of the Galápagos Islands, the area is an uninhabited islet and a totally protected place, which you will have the chance to explore.
Kicker rock is a characteristic rock formation of volcanic origin formed by two large islets that have been separated by the erosion of the sea, each of them reaches more than 300 ft high above the sea and another 300 ft below the sea.
You will have the chance for two immersions of max 60 minutes each and with 1h surface interval in between, where you can enjoy some snacks or snorkel if you like. Lunch wil be served after the second dive and before going back to Puerto Baquerizo between 3 and 5pm. The tour includes all diving equipment, experienced bilingual guides (English and Spanish), snacks, lunch and drinking water. Pictures and video will be taken by the guide. You will need to bring a memory stick or SD card in the afternoon to collect the pictures. Here are some details about the diving spot :
- Depth: Usually between 60 and 75 feet.
- Type of diving: Recreational, sometimes with currents. Rocky, with reference to the rock wall.
- Animals to expect: Hammerhead sharks, turtles, Eagle rays.
- Visibility : Between 9 and 65 feet.
Notes:
- All tours are group tours and not private excursions. Tours in Galápagos and in mainland Ecuador are subject to space and availability. Itineraries may change due to weather conditions, operational or logistical matters.
- A basic PADI certification (minimum of 4 dives) is required for all daily diving tours. Please note that a refresher (extra cost) may be required depending on the date of your last dive and your previous experience. This can be done on site before you start.

Day 3 • Enjoy a bite of paradise
Puerto Baquerizo Moreno
The end of this extension is coming, and we hope that it will have left you with some memorable moments. At the scheduled time, you will be transferred either to the airport for your flight back to mainland Ecuador or to the port to begin your cruise. The airport is only 5 minutes from the town, so you still have more time to enjoy the beach before departing.
