Tiburon Explorer is a strong fit for experienced divers who want the Galapagos liveaboard rhythm with more space and comfort than the simplest dive boats. We like that the ship’s advantages are directly connected to the diving day: a large, well-equipped dive deck, room for gear routines and a guest count that stays personal enough for serious briefings and repeated water entries. The vessel carries up to 16 guests and is built around dive logistics, not casual cruising. That means days are shaped by early starts, skiff transfers, currents, equipment, rest periods and marine-life discussion. Suites are available, which can make a demanding itinerary more comfortable, but the reason to choose Tiburon Explorer remains the dive program itself. Choose Tiburon Explorer if you want a dedicated Galapagos diving cruise with practical deck space and a comfortable liveaboard base. She is not ideal for non-divers, mixed-interest couples where one person will not dive, or travelers who prefer island walks and snorkeling as the main event. For divers, the ship’s layout and focus make immediate sense.

Coral I & II

Unique amongst the Galápagos fleet, these "twins" were the first to operate in this manner. Coral I is a modern, first-class mega yacht with 18 double exterior cabins and a maximum of 36 passengers; Coral II is an elegant, classic and charming motor yacht for maximum of 20 passengers. The Corals recent refit brought them right up to date, and they now feature new dedicated electrical outlets for 110V appliances compatible with iPod, iPad, iPhone, Android and MP3 players. There are three classes of cabin to choose from and all have stylish new furniture and full air conditioning. Other cabin amenities include flat screen TV, music system, personal safe and internal phone. Everyone enjoys an elegant private bathroom with cold and hot water, hair dryer, electric mirror and other amenities. Some cabins can also connect, making them ideal for families or group traveling together. No luxury experience would be complete without superb refreshment. The elegant bar on board is well stocked with local beers, the finest South American wines and premium spirits and a selection of cocktails. Highly trained chefs prepare a diverse and exciting range of local and international fine dining served in a more relaxed buffet style. An outdoor barbecue station on the sundeck provides the opportunity to sample wonderfully fresh grilled produce with an ocean view that is unrivalled. Monserrat

Monserrat is one of those yachts we like because the practical details work for real travelers, not just for brochures. She carries 16 guests, but the guiding setup is unusually personal: two naturalist guides on board mean shore visits and snorkel outings can feel closer, calmer and easier to follow. That matters in the Galapagos, where a good guide can turn a quick glance at a marine iguana, frigatebird or lava field into the moment you remember most. The ship has a relaxed, active rhythm. Between island walks and panga rides, you can use the included kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, wetsuits and snorkeling gear, then return to a sundeck, lounge, dining room and Jacuzzi-style deck space that feel informal rather than showy. The cabin layout is also genuinely useful: two triple cabins can work well for families or friends, while two lower-deck single cabins can be a strong option for solo travelers when available. Choose Monserrat if you want a small Galapagos yacht with good guiding density, flexible cabin options and plenty of ways to be in the water. She is not the right match if you want a very polished luxury catamaran, private balconies everywhere or a quiet adults-only feel. For travelers who value access, activity and a friendly onboard atmosphere, she deserves a serious look.

Galaxy Diver II

Galaxy Diver II is a Galápagos liveaboard for experienced divers who want their week shaped by the water, not by a classic cruise programme. She carries just 16 guests, which matters on a diving route where the daily rhythm is briefings, pangas, gear checks, recovery time and the next descent. The main draw is the northern route: the official diving itinerary plans 19 dives, including the check dive, with 12 of them around Darwin and Wolf. That is the reason to choose this ship. The practical dive setup is useful rather than decorative: free Nitrox for certified divers, a 30 m maximum depth and an 8:1 diver-to-instructor ratio. Cabins and lounges are comfortable enough for a full liveaboard week, but the ship is not trying to be a private-balcony luxury yacht. Choose Galaxy Diver II if you are confident underwater and want Darwin, Wolf, Fernandina, Vicente Roca Point and Cousin Rock to define the journey. It is not the right fit for non-diving companions, a gentle first snorkeling trip or travelers who mainly want landings and polished onboard ceremony.
