A Galápagos Cruise on board the Integrity
10 Reviews
- Stunning luxury yacht
- Enormous suite available
- State-of-the-art stabilizers
- Choice of Western and Eastern itineraries
The word “stunning” is used a lot to describe Galápagos cruise yachts, but in this case, we believe it’s entirely justified. This 141 ft long beauty is one of our favorites, and her owner Rolf is justifiably proud of her. He insists that everything is perfect for every guest, and his crew are among the highest-rated in the Galápagos fleet.
The height of grandeur
Built in 2005, Integrity was designed to offer best-in-class accommodation, and she certainly delivers. Her standout feature is the Owner’s Suite. This is a remarkable 350 square feet stateroom with king size bed that spans the entire width of the yacht. The room features a large sofa, comfortable chairs, satellite phone, fully stocked fridge, TV, and writing desk. The en suite bathroom features the finest porcelain fittings and a luxurious walk-in rainfall shower Her other staterooms may be a little smaller, but they are no less luxurious. All rooms on Integrity feature independent climate control, entertainment centers, luxury en suite bathrooms, satellite phones and stocked fridges. Several of her cabins can be configured as twin beds or as a king size, to your requirements.
Communal areas are no less comfortable. The main saloon features luxury leathers and polished woods and has plenty of comfortable seats, sofas and tables, as well as a bar (one of two onboard) and library. There’s also a 50” TV and entertainment center. The adjoining formal dining room is laid out as tables of six. There’s also an alfresco dining area on the sun deck with barbecue grill Also on the upper sundeck is the outside bar, a jacuzzi pool, and plenty of comfortable loungers. There’s also a unique and intimate forward deck for guests called “Rolf’s Roost”, named after the owner. This has a comfortable sofa and offers an unparalleled view of your next visitor point as it comes into view.
A gourmet experience
Integrity has one of the largest galleys of any yacht of her size in the Galápagos. This allows her chefs to create absolutely delightful food. They only use the freshest ingredients, and they can cater for all dietary requirements. They pride themselves on producing fine dining-quality food that uses local produce and is healthy, as well as incredibly tasty.
Get closer to the wildlife of the Galápagos
Integrity’s operators have chosen only to offer a choice of two itineraries - but what itineraries they are! Both are 8-day trips, and both will cross the equator. You can choose from the western or eastern tours, but if you are able, we really recommend you combine them. This 15-day experience will be the trip of a lifetime, and it will showcase everything the Galápagos has to offer, all in superb comfort and luxury.
Integrity only recruits the best naturalist guides, and their in-depth knowledge means you are assured of some really intimate animal encounters. With only 16 guests maximum, you will enjoy plenty of time with your guide and benefit from a very personal wildlife experience.
Our thoughts
We love Integrity. She is correctly named because everything she does is done with integrity. Her owner, Rolf, has a passion for excellence, and her crew are all well looked after and wholly dedicated to her success and to your comfort. The Owner’s Suite is one of the best accommodation in the whole Galápagos cruise fleet in our opinion - if you can, you should reserve it now if it’s still available. With a galley bigger than many other boat cabins, Integrity’s food is a definite highlight, and we love the attention to detail of her chefs. Both her itineraries are excellent, but if it fits your budget, seriously consider combining them - what a trip that makes. Food & Drinks on board the Integrity
The food on our Galapágos Cruises is among the very best you will find in South America. Most of the on-board chefs are internationally trained and have prior experience working in the best hotels and restaurants in Ecuador and indeed around the world.
You can expect a first-class selection of food, including a good variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, locally sourced poultry and fish/seafood, rice and pasta dishes. Most boats will always include some typical Ecuadorian dishes on the menu during your cruise. If you have specific dietary requirements then these can usually be accommodated by the chef providing you have given advance notice. Please make sure you tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements you have at the time you book with us. If you leave it until you arrive at the dockside, then it may well be impossible to accommodate your needs.
Most boats serve a range of options at meal times in a relaxed buffet-style. At the first class and luxury end of the market, some boats have more formal dining where you will be served at your seat. However the atmosphere is always relaxed on board our cruises, and never stuffy or formal.
Sustainable Tourism
At Galapatours we love and respect the pristine ecosystems and fascinating wildlife of the Galápagos Islands, and we insist that our cruise partners do too. To protect the archipelago all our cruise vessels must have sophisticated water filtration systems, modern efficient engines, and strict maintenance schedules to minimize pollution.
The Galápagos National Park authority also defines exact cruising routes that dictate which ships can visit highlights at specific times, as well as limiting passenger numbers. These measures ensure that animals and habitats are not disturbed by too many visitors.
Our commitment extends beyond the mandatory environmental standards for cruise vessels in the region: A portion of your trip price now contributes to our Conservation Project. This initiative empowers local communities to protect their territory, engage in reforestation, and prepare for long-term environmental stewardship. This way, your trip contributes to environmental protection and truly shows how travel can be a force for good! And you can also play your part by traveling responsibly and following our Eco Guidelines during your stay.
