What we love about the Infinity
Two guides for 20 guests — smaller shore groups, more personal interpretation.
A private balcony in every cabin — rare consistency across the ship.
Family-ready cabin pairing — Suite 8 connects directly to Cabin 10.

Infinity belongs on our shortlist for travellers who want the comfort and private space of a contemporary Galapagos yacht, yet still care about small-group guiding ashore. She carries 20 guests rather than the more usual 12 to 16, but two bilingual naturalist guides divide the group into teams of ten for excursions. In practical terms, that is Infinity's smartest advantage: more room and a sociable atmosphere on board without turning walks and wildlife interpretation into a large-group experience.
The two routes give the ship very different personalities. Route A links the seabird spectacle of Genovesa with Santiago and Rábida, Santa Cruz and Floreana before reaching Española, where waved albatrosses are a seasonal highlight. Route B is our choice for travellers drawn to the raw volcanic west: western Isabela and Fernandina sit alongside Bartolomé, North Seymour and the central islands. Both itineraries combine guided walks, panga outings and snorkelling where the National Park programme and conditions allow, so the right route matters at least as much as the yacht itself.
All ten cabins have private balconies, a genuine strength when you want a quiet view between landings. The eight staterooms are spread across the main and upper decks, while the two upper-deck suites offer more space; Suite 8 can connect directly with Cabin 10 for families. We recommend Infinity for couples and families who value modern design, balconies and strong guiding more than ultra-small-ship intimacy. If you are especially sensitive to motion, prefer the hush of a tiny yacht, or worry about anchor and machinery noise in some main-deck positions, ask us to compare cabin locations before booking.

Meals on Infinity are designed around active days rather than formal restaurant ritual. The kitchen serves a varied mix of Ecuadorian and international dishes, with meals offered in the indoor dining room, as a relaxed buffet and, when the programme and weather suit, al fresco. We like that the ship has enough space for 20 guests to dine comfortably without making the experience feel anonymous. Vegetarian, vegan, allergy-related and other dietary requirements can usually be accommodated, but Royal Galapagos asks to receive them at least 30 days before departure, so please tell us when you book.
Infinity operates within Royal Galapagos' fleet-wide sustainability programme. The operator reports desalination systems, biodegradable cleaning products, reduced use of single-use plastics, refillable water bottles and hull and energy-efficiency measures across its yachts. Royal Galapagos also states that it offsets operational emissions and supports projects linked to the Galapagos Conservation Trust. These are operator-wide commitments rather than independently verified Infinity-only results, but they are more concrete than a generic conservation promise. As with every Galapagos cruise, the biggest safeguards remain regulated National Park routes, licensed guides and responsible behaviour at visitor sites.
