Ce que nous aimons à bord de Horizon

The Galápagos' only luxury trimaran — wide, modern and intimate at 16 guests.

All eight cabins have a private balcony, panoramic windows and en-suite bathroom.

Route choice spans Genovesa birdlife, Española beaches and the volcanic west.

Horizon expedition yacht cruising beside a rocky Galapagos island

Horizon belongs on our shortlist for travellers who want the intimacy of a 16-guest Galapagos expedition but do not want to give up private outdoor space. She is the archipelago's only luxury trimaran, with a broad, contemporary layout that feels very different from a traditional yacht. Most importantly, every cabin has a private balcony and panoramic windows: after an early landing or snorkel, you can still watch the islands from your own quiet corner rather than retreating from the scenery.

The route should drive your decision as much as the ship. One eight-day programme connects Española's wildlife-rich coast, Gardner Bay and Genovesa's seabird colonies with Bartolomé and North Seymour. The western programme heads towards Isabela and Fernandina, where younger lava landscapes, marine life and remoter visitor sites shape a more volcanic journey. Shorter four-, five- and seven-day options focus the experience differently. We can help compare them, because choosing Horizon for her balconies but overlooking the itinerary would miss the most important part of a Galapagos cruise. Visitor sites and activities remain subject to National Park and operational conditions.

Between excursions, the indoor lounge and dining room, alfresco bar and sundeck Jacuzzi give 16 guests an unusual amount of shared space without making the atmosphere anonymous. Nine crew, a cruise director and a bilingual naturalist guide support the expedition rhythm. We recommend Horizon to couples, friends and families who value modern design, natural light and a real balcony more than classic yacht character or the lowest price. The honest trade-off is that a trimaran is still a small expedition vessel: sea conditions can be felt, and no hull design should be treated as a guarantee against motion. If traditional nautical character or budget matters more, we would compare Horizon with a simpler conventional yacht.

Nourriture & Boissons à bord du Horizon

Meals on Horizon are designed around active Galapagos days: breakfast before the first outing, lunch after a landing or snorkel, and dinner when the group has time to compare what it saw. Guests can dine in the bright indoor dining room, while the upper deck also offers an alfresco dining area and bar when the programme and conditions allow. Individual recent guest feedback has praised the care given to dietary needs, but requirements should always be shared with us before departure so the onboard team has time to prepare and confirm what is possible.

Tourisme durable

Greatest trip ever I did an 8 day/7 night cruise on the new trimaran Camilla. I went in with very high expectations and this trip exceeded them. Starting with Tom who helped me book the best cruise for my interests, to Jhosellyn (naturalist guide) who was incredibly knowledgeable about the flora, fauna, geology, and even astronomy (and a lot of fun!), and the Captain of the boat who did everything possible to give us even more opportunities to explore these incredible islands. I highly recommend this trip for anyone who has this on their bucket list -- it was better than I could have imagined. Source: https://bit.ly/2X3Ovdd

Absolutely amazing week on the Camila My wife and I recently got home from a 'bucket list' trip to the Galapagos. We decided it was a once in a lifetime trip and we wanted to do it 'right'. We had never spent this much money for a week trip, and we are happy to say: IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. We loved the Camila. It's Galapatours` newest boat and was in great shape. Our stateroom with king bed and balcony was almost as big as our bedroom at home. The bathroom was huge, with double sinks, and a wonderful shower with lots of hot water. We only had 12 passengers on our cruise and we were served by 12 staff/crew. Like how often do you get a 1 to 1 ratio on a cruise? Cudos to our Nature Guide/Cruise Guide Daniel and our cruise host Deena. You are both incredible people and we LOVED your customer service ethic. You took care of every need. Deena, a special thanks for our romantic dinner! It is a memorable night! Food was wonderful. Got to snorkel all but one day. Safety is job one. We loved our fellow cruisers who have become lifelong friends. Source: https://bit.ly/2X3Ovdd

The premier trimaran in the Galapagos Sustainability: Camila's entire operation has been included in the offsets, from the fuel used by the engines on board the trimaran to the bus rides her crew and guides take to work. Aboard Camila, rest assured that from arrival in the Galapagos Islands to the point of departure, the impact of your carbon footprint will be a net zero. Common Areas: A highlight of the Galapagos Camila is her ample deck space for sunning, wildlife viewing and al fresco dining. Relax on the Sun Deck in the elevated Jacuzzi following a long active day on this adventure cruise. Indoors, relax in the luxurious lounge, separated from the dining room. In the dining room, enjoy fine regional cuisine while taking in scenic views. Crew and guides include the experienced captain, a bilingual Galapagos National Park naturalist guide, a cruise manager and 10 other crew members. Activities Aboard Camila: Snorkeling gear and wetsuits are available for use aboard Camila, as are kayaks for further exploring the Galapagos Islands up close, off ship. Daily excursions with naturalist guides include hikes to view points and beaches.
